Little Brother

In our group, we decided the most interesting thing about the story was that he reluctantly gave out his password after a while. We think this is interesting because it says a lot about the way he values privacy and could possibly determine how he feels about other people and how often he trusts them. We also decided that the way he doesn’t really care about the email proves how brilliant he actually is to keep only his entire life on his cell phone. The class also found it interesting that the government treated him so poorly. They reduced him so low that he peed his pants and we believe that this was wrong.

We do find some aspects of the author’s story to be believable, and some of them are actual things that could happen to the right person in the wrong place. The government does actually treat people really poorly, even without absolute assurance that the person is truly guilty.
